Who is responsible?

GardenGate Veranda, working in the Eindhoven area, is responsible for the processing of personal data through this website, gardengateveranda.nl.

Which data we process

That depends on what you do on this website.

• If you get in touch or request a quote: your name, your email address or phone number, your address if you give it, and anything you tell us or send along, such as your wishes, measurements and photos of your garden.
• If you visit the website: your choice in the cookie notice, which your own browser stores. In addition, as with any website, the server that delivers the pages receives technical data about your connection, such as your IP address, your browser and the page you request.
• Only with your consent, and only if we have switched on the service concerned: data about your visit and about advertising, collected by Google or Meta.

How your message reaches us

This website does not send forms to a server itself. If you use the contact or quote form, your own email program opens with a pre-filled message to info@ggveranda.nl. We only receive it once you send that message, and it then travels via your email provider.

The quote form can also open your request in WhatsApp. In that case the text you filled in travels in the link that opens WhatsApp (Meta), and the conversation runs through WhatsApp, under their own terms and privacy policy. Prefer to write or call yourself? You can do that too.

What we use data for

We use your data only for the purposes below, each with the legal basis the GDPR requires.

• To answer your question or request and go through your wishes with you. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract is made.
• To prepare a quote and, if you place an order, to supply and fit the veranda or canopy. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
• To keep our accounts and meet legal obligations. Legal basis: a legal obligation.
• To keep the website secure and available and to answer general questions. Legal basis: our legitimate interest, which we weigh against your privacy.
• To measure how the website is used and how advertisements perform. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share data with

We share data only with parties we need for the purpose, and only as far as necessary.

• The parties that run this website and our email. They process data on our behalf, as processors.
• WhatsApp (Meta), if you contact us through WhatsApp.
• Google and Meta, if you consent to measurement and advertising services and we have switched them on. Their own privacy terms apply to their own use of data.
• Authorities or other parties, where the law requires us to.

Some of these parties may also process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, the safeguards the GDPR prescribes apply.

This website links to other websites, such as our Facebook page. What happens to your data there is governed by that party’s terms.

How long we keep data

We keep data no longer than necessary for the purpose for which we received it.

• A question or request with no follow-up: no longer than needed to deal with it.
• Data relating to an order: for as long as delivery, the warranty and statutory retention duties require.
• Your choice in the cookie notice: on your own device, until you change it or delete the website data from your browser.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website itself stores only your choice in the cookie notice. Measurement and advertising services from third parties load only after you click ‘Accept’. What exactly happens, and how to change your choice, is explained in the cookie policy.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:

• ask which personal data we process about you and receive a copy;
• have incorrect data corrected;
• have your data deleted;
• have processing restricted;
• object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
• take your data with you in a common format;
• withdraw consent you have given at any time.

To make a request, email info@ggveranda.nl. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we release data. We answer your request as soon as we can, and in any case within the period the GDPR sets, in principle one month.

Not happy with how we handle your data? Please contact us first. You can also complain to the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), or to the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live.
