The veranda

Sit outside, even when it rains.

A veranda is a fixed canopy: a dry, sheltered spot for a lounge set, a dining table or simply a cup of coffee. With a translucent roof it stays light, and your garden furniture stays dry.

Every veranda from GardenGate Veranda is made entirely to measure, and we charge no surcharge for made-to-measure work. What you want, we work out together: from the roof to the lighting.

  • A roof of glass or polycarbonate, as you prefer
  • With LED spots, walls and sun shading if you like
  • 5-year warranty on polycarbonate roof panels

What you can choose

Put your veranda together.

These are the choices you have. Not sure yet what suits your garden? We will talk it through with you.

  • Glass or polycarbonate roof

Glass gives a clear view of the sky, polycarbonate is lighter in weight. We give a 5-year warranty on polycarbonate roof panels.

  • Gable infill in glass or polycarbonate

The gable infill is the triangle beside the roof. You choose glass, polycarbonate or no gable infill.

  • LED spots in the roof

Recessed spots in the roof give light and atmosphere in the evening, without loose lamps.

  • Aluminium walls

Close one or more sides with an aluminium wall, in various sizes and colours.

  • Tinted glass

Side walls of tinted glass soften harsh sunlight and limit the view in, while you keep your view out.

  • Glass sliding doors

With glass sliding doors you close the veranda when it is cold or windy and slide it open when the weather allows.

  • Automatic sun shading

Sun shading for the sides and the roof keeps the harsh sun out and is operated automatically.

  • Heating

A closed veranda can be fitted with heating options. Which ones are available, we will go through with you.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about the veranda.

Your question isn't here? Feel free to get in touch: we are happy to answer it.

What do you need to make a quote?

Mostly your preferred dimensions and your choices: the roof, the gable infill, the lighting, walls, sliding doors and sun shading. Photos of the spot help too. The more complete your request, the sharper the price indication. After that we always get in touch to talk everything through.

Glass or polycarbonate: what suits me?

Glass gives a clear view of the sky and a high-end look. Polycarbonate is lighter in weight and often lets through softer, more diffused light. If your garden gets a lot of sun, sun shading helps against the harsh sun, with either roof. Not sure? Then we will talk it through with you.

Can I add options later?

That depends on the option and on your veranda. So discuss your wishes with us beforehand: then we will take them into account in the design.

Do I need a permit for a veranda?

That depends on the location, the dimensions and your municipality. The Omgevingsloket, the Dutch online permit desk, lets you check whether your plan needs a permit; if in doubt, your municipality can help.

How do I look after a veranda?

Usually it is enough to rinse glass, polycarbonate and aluminium clean now and then with lukewarm water and a soft sponge or cloth. Avoid abrasives or sharp tools: they can cause scratches.

What warranty do I get?

GardenGate Veranda gives a 5-year warranty on polycarbonate roof panels. What applies to other parts, we will go through with you in the quote conversation.
